Ok so I am not talking about pushing that cat off the ledge because what I am referring too is a windjammer, That’s the fluffy thing on the end of the stick for all you normal people. The windjammer is really useful for stopping that wind noise that destroys takes and the quality of your film.

The windjammer sadly does have limits and can’t really work effectively in anything over 30mph winds as all it does is diffuse the air (so you can still hear the sound coming through) So there you have it. Sound men love deadcats not dead cats.
